Rotary D3300 with its Smart Partners Oasis Place & HELP University, our NGO Partner – NASOM and its Rotary Partners – The Rotary Foundation, Rotary District 9810, Australia and The Rotary Club of Croydon, Australia came together in this programme to reach out to teachers, care givers and parents in the believe that there was real need for education and empowerment in the area of Autism & Inclusion.
This entire program started in 2016 with Workshop 1 having over 120 participants from all over Malaysia. From the initial 120 over participants, 29 were selected to undergo further training to equip themselves on Early Intervention. This afternoon witnesses the completion of Workshop 2 which has been held spanning over a period of 3 months from Feb to July 2017.
The real test of this entire programme actually starts after the completion of this Workshop. These 29 specially selected teachers and care givers will now proceed to share and train other caregivers and teachers. Their engagement with the community, other teachers and care givers could be a key determinant on the impact of this entire program. To the 29 trainees, your journey towards a more inclusive awareness in Autism starts today. As advocates of Autism & Inclusion, you will bear testimony to the success of this program.
Today we also Congratulate Governor Dr. Manohur Kurup on taking office as our Governor RY2017/2018 and making the Autism & Inclusion Closing Ceremony, his first official programme for the Rotary year.
Well done Workshop participants & kudos Governor Manohur !
