Darul Abdullah was born in Kluang, Johor in 1951. Growing up with one sibling, Darul completedhis secondary schooling and proceeded to attain both the Bachelor of Business Administration &Masters Business Administration from RMIT Melbourne.
Starting his professional career as an Admin Assistant has over the years held various
management positions in the Banking & Finance, Engineering and Hospitality industries. He hasalso served at senior levels at the British High Commission, The Malaysian Institute of Bankers,PM Securities, HSS Integrated and The Raintree Club of Kuala Lumpur. Currently, he is a Directorat Worldpowerfuel Sdn Bhd, a company actively involved in the Biodiesel industry.
A CTM Level member of the MIM Toastmasters, he sits as a long-serving Council member of theMalaysian Institute of Management (2000-2012, 2014 & 2015).
Darul joined the Rotary Club of Bangsar in RY 1989/90. After a 6-year sabbatical due to workcommitments, he joined the Rotary Club of Melawati in RY 2000/01. He served as Club Presidentin RY 2003/04 and has held numerous positions at the Club.
An active Rotarian in District 3300, he has served as amongst others as Assistant Governor, DG’sSpecial Representative (DGSR) for the formation of RC Selayang, Organising Chairman of the79th RI District Assembly, Advisor to the DGSR for the formation of RC Mont Kiara (New Generation Club), Chairman of the International Service Committee, District Sister Club Committee &Community Service Committee, Deputy Chairman for the Inaugural Integrity Awards Night &RYLA, and member of the District Training Team.
A Paul Harris Fellow (Level-2) and a Jamil Rais Fellow, Darul believes in clubs having a strong andactive membership, staying happy and constantly being relevant to society.
Married to Shamshar Begum bte Syed Husman, they are blessed with 3 adult sons - Mohd
