District 3300's Official Mailing List The only official electronic Mailing List address of the District is now hosted on Google Groups.
The District 3300 Electronic Mailing List is dedicated to the memory of the late PP Hj Zaid Ishak (Rotary Club of Ampang), who initiated the first District 3300 electronic mailing list.
In order that the Electronic Mailing List is not abused, the following are the rules will be strictly enforced by the management committee.
- These rules may be revised from time to time. Rules For The District 3300 Electronic Mailing List
- The official electronic Mailing List of District 3300 is the property of the RI District 3300.
- Only Rotarians appointed by the incumbent District 3300 Governor will be members of the Management Committee of the electronic Mailing List.
- The Chairman of the Management Committee will be a Past District Governor of the District.
- The District 3300 Electronic Mailing List will be a closed/private Mailing List. Former Rotarians in the District may be allowed to subscribe to the group if they wish to keep in touch with the District. However, this will be approved on a case-by-case basis.
- All new applicants must provide their names, Rotary Clubs and other details as requested by the Management Committee before approval of their applications to subscribe to the group.
- Messages posted to the group must be of general interest and beneficial to all, and should be Rotary in nature. Personal messages of good tidings, bereavements and other matters may be posted if these are of interest to Rotarians in the District. However, when responding to such messages, the replies should be sent only to the person(s) concerned or to the sender of the original message. Matters of personal grouses and complaints must be sent directly to those concerned and may not be posted to members of the electronic Mailing List.
- You may send attachments, however, all attachments will be automatically stopped and vetted by the Management Committee before general release. Subscribers are discouraged from sending attachments unless absolutely necessary. Say what you have to say in text written in the email. By doing this, subscribers do not have to download heavy file attachments and also better secure against transmission of harmful virus.
- The Management Committee will alert members on the electronic Mailing List not observing these rules. If such violations persist, offenders will receive warnings from the Management Committee. Failure to comply will result in a three-month suspension of the member(s) from the electronic Mailing List. Continued violation thereafter will result, with the agreement of the District Governor, in the permanent exclusion of the member from the group until reinstated by the District Governor for good reasons.
- Additional rules may be instituted from time to time and when situations make it necessary for such rules to be included.
